Places of interest in Lucknow:
Bara Imambara Bara Imambara(Tomb of a Muslim Holy Man)- built by
Asaf-ud-Daula for famine relief. One of the largest in the world.
Chota Imambara-built by Mohammed Ali Shah in 1837 as his own mausoleum.
The Clock Tower- built in 1881 by the British
Shah Najaf Imambara- holds the tombs of Ghasi-ud-Din Haidar and his two
wives.
Residency-built in 1800, this complex of buildings became the stage for
the most dramatic events of the 1857 mutiny, the Siege of Lucknow.

TRANSPORT TO/ IN LUCKNOW
Lucknow is well connected with the other important towns and cities of the
country by air. Most of the domestic flight operators have regular scheduled
flights to the Lucknow airport Amausi, which is about 15 km away from the main
city area.
