Traditionally Bangladesh did not operate Daylight-Saving Time
In 2009 for the first time the Government of Bangladesh introduced Daylight Saving time: according to Bangladesh newspaper "The Daily Star", Bangladesh changed its clock back to Standard Time on 31 December 2009. www.thedailystar.net
In 2010 - on 22 March 2010 The Daily Star reported that the Bangladesh Cabinet cancelled Daylight Saving Time
"The cabinet on Monday permanently cancelled the Daylight Saving Time system considering sufferings and difficulties of different sections of professionals and people."
