Timmins is a city in north east Ontario, Canada on the Mattagami River.Shania Twain, a native of Timmins, played a concert at Hollinger Park on July 1,1999. An estimated 22,000 people attended the outdoor concert. The Shania TwainCentre was then opened on June 30, 2001, as a local tourist attraction. Sinceits opening, the Centre has received memorabilia, awards and many other personalitems from Shania Twain.
