It was reported on September 20, 2007 by Evansville Courier Press in Indiana.
The U.S. Department of Transportation has decided that five South-western Indiana counties can move back to the Eastern Time Zone. The counties of Knox, Daviess, Dubois, Martin and Pike will move back to the Eastern Time Zone when Indiana moves back its clock from daylight savings time, according to the ruling.
Perry County will remain on the Central Time Zone. It, too, had requested to move to Eastern Time, but that request was denied by the federal government.
